About CJC-1295 (with DAC)
CJC-1295 is a synthetic analogue of growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH) carrying a Drug Affinity Complex (DAC) — a linker that binds covalently to serum albumin and extends the measured half-life to 5.8–8.1 days. In placebo-controlled dose-ranging studies in healthy adults, a single subcutaneous injection raised mean GH 2- to 10-fold for six days or more and IGF-1 1.5- to 3-fold for 9–11 days, and GH release stayed pulsatile rather than becoming continuous. Note that DAC is what defines this molecule: the product sold as "CJC-1295 no DAC" is tetrasubstituted GHRH(1-29), a different compound with a roughly 30-minute half-life and a completely different dosing schedule.
